Anne O'Donnell

anne o donnell

My name is Anne O’Donnell.

I grew up in Co. Clare and still visit there every few weeks as my brother lives there alone.

My main interest is my husband Frank our three sons and their families.

I have a very full life at the moment and I give God thanks for my health. I am involved in my Parish in Marley, over 40 years. I am part of a prayer Group and Book Shop Ministry there.

I am a volunteer with the Dundrum Arch Club for special needs people. The Club runs a social night every Wednesday in Ballinteer Community School.

I am a member of the Marley Branch of ICA for the last 26 years.

I walk in Marley Park every day for about an hour.

I became an Associate of the Little Company of Mary in 2010. Sr. Margaret Seymour was the Parish Sister in Marley Parish and she invited me to a meeting in Braemor Park. I like everything about being an Associate. I look forward to going to the meeting there every third Monday in the Month to pray and have discussions with the other Associates and the Sisters.

I see my work as an Associate in my everyday life meeting people. I visit two nursing homes on a regular basis as well as visiting people in their own homes. I see if I can help them. I probably get more from the people I visit than I give them.

Then in Braemor Park we have the time to pray and reflect on how we could be more caring, as we see Mary at the foot of the Cross with Jesus. This is what we are all about. Of course, the welcome and the cup of tea are very much part of our meeting.
